Entrevista com a banda Demon Hunter
How did it start the interesting to form a group and speak about God
with a sound completely different from others we´re used to listen in
the churchs?
When I was growing up, in my early teens, I loved heavy music, skateboarding, and being a kid. I went through a few years of trying to find my identity in Christ and who I was. At the time, most Christian music as stuff like Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant, I was not aware of any Christian music that balanced the person i was, and who I was in Christ. I felt like an outcast because of my Christianity. One year my parents sent me off to a Bible camp for the summer. When I got there I met my group leader, a dude with a mohawk and a skateboard who loved God. I was blown away to meet someone like "me" who was a Christian but didn't listen to Petra. During our time together he introduced me to bands like Living Sacrifice and Vengeance Rising. I was completely blown away, there had been this whole sub-culture of Christians, who I had never heard of that spoke my language, ripped on the guitar and loved God at the same time. I had suddenly discovered during that Bible camp that I was not alone in my Faith. There were other Christians like me and showed me you didn't have to wear a suit and tie to be a servant of the Lord. Looking back that was a very important time in my young life. I can't help but smile thinking of the providence of God to put me in that Bible camp with a counselor with a mohawk and a Living Sacrifice CD.
Ryan, in the begin of the group it was different, with Dom Clack, your
brother (a guitarrist and one of the founders). How did you feel when he
left the group? Tell us about the experience.
Don and Ryan had been making music together since their teens and are nearly inseparable, they work in the same office, doing the same profession, love the same music, and are really the definition of "brothers" to this day. We still see Don almost every day of the week, still get coffee together and hang out. We are all still "brothers." Don's design company Invisible Creature had gotten so busy that he really had to make a choice in what he was going to spend his time doing. And we respect his choice and have nothing but love for him, and will continue to hang out with him as much as we can.
The group suffered a lot of preconceptions: about the name and the
symbol used in the CD´s, for example. How do the group feel about this?
Yea, It is discouraging to be attacked for the work we try to ultimately do unto the Lord, especially when it is from our own brothers and sisters in Christ. However in Luke 6:43-45 Christ says:
"No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks."
There will be a day, where all of us will be judged by the "Fruit" that we bear by God himself. And we hope that others looking in (who maybe aren't metal fans) would judge us my the "fruit" that we produce and the lives we have impacted for Christ. However, we both know that isn't always the case, but we keep the faith and the good fight regardless.
After so many "singles" like: infected, not ready to die, undying, one
thousand apologies, carry me down, fading away (...). What the group is
preparing to this year (2010)?
We have our new record "The World Is A Thorn" releasing March 9th, 2010, and can't wait for everyone to hear it. The first single from the record has been released, "Collapsing," we just shot a video for the song last week, and have a few more singles coming down the pipeline for this record.
A question that all brazilian fans do. When will you guys come to
Brazil?
I would LOVE to come to Brazil. Lord willing we will be there one day soon.
How is the experience of writing musics so "strong" and show, always,
the faith in all of them?
We are very blessed to have the songwriters that we do in the band. Ryan has a way with words and lyrics that is incredibly poetic and inspiring, and he signs about what we have been through, what we see, and what the Lord puts on his heart.
Tell us the name of some groups that influenced you in the band´s
career.
For me, the biggest would probably be Living Sacrifice, and others such as Pantera, 16 Horsepower, Metallica, Johnny Cash just to name a few.

Como começou a banda e o porque do nome?
A banda começou em meados de 2008 e tinha apenas um guitarrista, Fabrício. Desde então se passaram meses de espera até que outro guitarrista e amigo de infância, Elton, entrou para dar início a um sonho; montar uma banda de Rock. O nome da banda veio de uma conversa entre o Fabrício e o seu primo Josué que o perguntou: “Sabe qual é o único ministério que continuará depois da segunda vinda de Jesus? Logo a resposta! Será o ministério de louvor”. Daí o nome TRIBUTO ETERNO.
O que é mais difícil para uma banda independente logo no começo?
Nossas músicas eram produzidas em casa usando alguns programas para fazer a bateria e gravar. Poucos ensaios, muita oração até que outras pessoas foram chamadas para entrar na banda. Depois de vários desafios incluindo à saída de alguns integrantes que, por um motivo ou outro, não puderam continuar no ministério, a banda começa a se reunir outra vez, porém com outra formação e uma nova proposta de som, o Metal Core.
No meio secular e no meio Cristão ainda tem muita gente que não aceita o estilo musical, o que vocês acham disso?
O preconceito hoje infelizmente existe, principalmente quando se diz: Eu tenho uma banda de Metal. A sociedade não vê com bons olhos. Agora imagine só dizer: Eu tenho uma banda de Metal...GOSPEL. A maioria das pessoas que eu converso nunca ouviram falar ou não concordam com bandas de Metal serem Gospel, por achar que isso vem do diabo as pessoas se fecham e muita das vezes nem querem saber. Sem saber é que perecem e não buscam na bíblia onde fala "Louvai ao SENHOR. Louvai a Deus no seu santuário; louvai-o no firmamento do seu poder. Louvai-o pelos seus atos poderosos; louvai-o conforme a excelência da sua grandeza. Louvai-o com o som de trombeta; louvai-o com o saltério e a harpa. Louvai-o com o tamborim e a dança, louvai-o com instrumentos de cordas e com órgãos. Louvai-o com os címbalos sonoros; louvai-o com címbalos altissonantes. Tudo quanto tem fôlego louve ao SENHOR. Louvai ao SENHOR. Salmos 150:1-6, não diz qual ritmo ou melodia, mas diz louve ao SENHOR.
A banda hoje está com nova formação. Quem são eles?
Hoje a banda conta com uma formação que tem dado muitas respostas aos propósitos de Deus, são eles: Maurílio (Baixo), Hugo (Guitarra), Leandro (Bateria) e Fabrício (Guitarra e Vocal).
O que vem de novo por ai?
A Tributo Eterno está em processo de gravação do primeiro CD com várias músicas que podemos dizer Metal Core raiz. Esperamos que Deus possa nos usar como canais de bênçãos, para aquelas pessoas que estão precisando de ouvir algo que venha do coração dEle.

Entrevista com a banda Sétima
A banda Se7ima formou-se no início de 2010 a partir da concepção de idéias inicialmente dos músicos: Cássio Morais e Marcos Aurélio. Ao longo desse tempo até agora a banda participou de vários festivais de música e shows incluindo as “Comemorações do Dia do trabalhador” em Ribeirão das Neves, o “3º aniversário do MC Divino Estradeiros” na cidade de Furquim (Mariana), Caravana de Saulo Laranjeira, Grito Rock América Latina 2011, shows colegiais, festivais realizados na casa de shows Matriz, entre outros.
A banda lançou no inicio de 2011 o single: “Fragmentos”, uma produção independente, que foi muito bem aceita pelo público, no mesmo ano, em meados de Setembro, a banda lançou mais duas músicas: “Tudo A Minha Volta” e “Sem Direção”, músicas com uma pegada mais pesada, presente também na atual proposta da banda, também sendo apreciada pelo público. Todas estas músicas estão disponíveis pra audição no Myspace e para download na internet.
Neste ano, no início de junho, foi lançado o WEBCLIPE da música “Tudo A Minha Volta”, gravado em um estúdio aqui em Belo Horizonte com a colaboração dos fotógrafos Thiago Oliveira e Mariana Cerqueira na produção do projeto. E estão sendo compostas e serão gravadas novas músicas que farão parte em breve de um EP virtual.
O som da Se7ima em suas apresentações é cheio de energia. Composições próprias cheias de vigor. Talhadas em ritmos precisos, pesados e intervalos melódicos, com letras que falam de vida, superação, amor e os acontecimentos tantas vezes intempestivos.
A banda Se7ima é influenciada por bandas do cenário Pop Punk, Hard Core dos anos 90 e 2000 como: Blink 182, Sum 41, New Found Glory, Dead Fish (Brasil) e bandas do cenário atual como: A Day to Remember, Rise Against, Four Year Strong, Story of The Year, Emery e P.O.D e também com influências de música Pop/rock e outros.
Qual a relação de Deus em suas vidas?
cara, vou falar em nome da banda e o que eu percebo na gente. Somos uma banda em que todos são cristãos!
Ninguém aqui acho que segue uma "religião", assim por dizer, ou uma doutrina. Todos já passamos por alguma igreja e alguns na banda tem até formação musical dentro da igreja. E a história de vida dos músicos tem uma relação muito forte com Cristo, ainda mais pelos inúmeros problemas que cada um dos integrantes passaram na vida, e em todos eles eles, tínhamos essa visão de socorro em Deus.
O que vocês acham de bandas que levam a palavra de Deus em suas letras?
Achamos massa demais, acredito que todos nós ouvimos bandas cristãs ou com influências cristãs.
